On November 14, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister Azat Atayev and Ms. Sara Chiji, Regional Export Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The parties discussed opportunities to expand partnership in the field of education, according to the Ministry of Education's website.

Ms. Chiji shared the UK's experience in providing quality education, implemented in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. She noted the interest of British universities, including Westminster, in cooperating with Turkmenistan.

The possibilities of accrediting Turkmen educational institutions and providing educational services in secondary and higher education were also discussed. Additionally, the Turkmen-British Trade and Industry Council is planned to be held in 2023, where educational cooperation will be a priority.

The parties agreed to develop the partnership in stages, starting with the organization of joint webinars on British educational standards and procedures. Detailed discussions on further cooperation are planned for the World Education Forum in London in May.

The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the British side are confident that this partnership will enrich Turkmenistan's education system and integrate it into the global educational space.
