A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Foreign Minister Serdar Muhammetdurdiyev and members of a delegation led by the Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China for Afghan Affairs, Yue Xiaoyong.

The parties exchanged views on the preparations for the 5th meeting of foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries, which will be held in Turkmenistan.

Diplomats discussed priority areas of strategic interstate cooperation and exchanged views on the implementation of previously reached agreements.

It was emphasized that Turkmenistan considers multilateral international platforms for maintaining stability in Afghanistan as an important factor in promoting sustainable recovery and growth of the socio-economic situation in the neighboring country.

The interlocutors confirmed that Turkmenistan and China will continue to provide comprehensive support for the economic recovery of Afghanistan, adhering to the principles of friendship and good neighborliness, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
