On November 25, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Steve Daines, a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and a senator from Montana.

Expressing sincere gratitude to the head of state for the time allocated for the meeting, the guest emphasized that the U.S. places significant importance on developing mutually beneficial cooperation with neutral Turkmenistan.

Warmly welcoming Steve Daines, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed strong confidence that the upcoming negotiations during the guest's visit would provide an opportunity to exchange views on the prospects for expanding multifaceted intergovernmental partnership.

It was noted that relations between Turkmenistan and the U.S., based on principles of mutual respect, trust, and mutual understanding, include political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian directions.

It was also noted that in recent years, the political dialogue between the two countries has become active. This creates an opportunity for effective exchange of views on global issues such as sustainable development, security, and climate change.

The trade-economic sphere, which is one of the main vectors of interaction between our countries, was also discussed. For many years, productive cooperation has been carried out with major American companies participating in the implementation of significant projects in Turkmenistan. In this context, the significant contribution of the "Turkmenistan-USA" Business Council was noted.

As the head of state emphasized, our country is implementing a strategy to diversify energy export routes. In this regard, it was noted that Turkmenistan advocates for the development of partnerships taking into account the interests of producers, consumers, and transit countries.

During the exchange of views on priority areas of interaction, it was noted that there are broad opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and U.S. Senator Steve Daines wished each other good health and prosperity.
