According to the Statistics Agency under the President of Uzbekistan, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan for January-November 2024 amounted to 1 billion 75.3 million US dollars, an increase of 100.2 million dollars compared to the same period last year.
An analysis of the dynamics of trade relations shows steady growth: if in January-November 2021 the trade turnover was 761.2 million dollars, then by the same period in 2023 it reached 970.1 million dollars.
During the reporting period, Turkmenistan ranked 7th among importers and 18th among exporters of Uzbekistan. Turkmen goods worth 964.9 million dollars were supplied to the Uzbek market, which is 155.3 million more than a year earlier. Imports from Uzbekistan amounted to 110.4 million dollars.
In the overall ranking of Uzbekistan's foreign trade partners, Turkmenistan ranked sixth, behind China (11.255 billion dollars), Russia (10.681 billion), Kazakhstan (3.854 billion), Turkey (2.635 billion), and the Republic of Korea (1.809 billion). The total foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan for 11 months of 2024 reached 59.368 billion dollars, of which 24.223 billion accounted for exports and 35.145 billion for imports.
