In Turkmenistan, from January 1 to 10, 2025, events dedicated to the New Year are planned to be organized in children's institutions and city parks. These include performances and film screenings for children, creative competitions, excursions to historical and cultural sites, and museums. There will also be a ceremony to award the Gulbaba Prize to talented children.
This was reported at a government meeting by Deputy Prime Minister B. Orazdurdiyeva, who spoke about the preparation of plans for the New Year holiday and winter school holidays by the relevant ministries and sectoral departments.
Young Turkmen citizens at the festive events, which will be organized during this period at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as children receiving treatment at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center, and residents of the 'Döwletliler köşgi' Palace, will receive gifts on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
In this regard, a corresponding proposal was submitted for consideration by the President of Turkmenistan.
After hearing the report, the head of state noted the need to hold New Year events at a high level and to properly organize the leisure of schoolchildren during the winter holidays. Approving the proposal, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave a number of instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister, reports TDH.
