In Turkmenistan, the year 2025 will be celebrated under the motto "International Year of Peace and Trust."

2025 has been declared the 'International Year of Peace and Trust' in Turkmenistan. This proposal from the Mejlis was approved by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the last government meeting of the outgoing year, reports TDH.

According to Dunyagozel Gulmanova, Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, it has become a good tradition in Turkmenistan, initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to name each year in a modern way to commemorate important events related to the country's history, development, and achievements in international relations. Thanks to the implementation of inherent traditions of peace and humanism, the significance of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality status is growing on the world stage. The foreign policy strategy implemented under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, based on the principles of equality, mutual understanding, good neighborliness, and positive neutrality, is widely supported by the Community of Nations.

Taking into account proposals from representatives of the Halk Maslahaty, public organizations, labor collectives, and citizens, as well as the adoption of the UN General Assembly Resolution '2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust' at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis prepared a resolution to declare the upcoming year the 'International Year of Peace and Trust.'

Additionally, the emblem for the upcoming year was presented for consideration to the head of state.

Addressing the meeting participants, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that every year a motto and emblem for the future year are proclaimed and approved, corresponding to modernity.

As is known, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted the resolution '2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust,' continued the head of state, emphasizing that, based on this, the members of the Mejlis, together with the people, presented the motto and emblem for the upcoming year. Approving this proposal, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov declared the motto for 2025 to be the 'International Year of Peace and Trust.'
