National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during a telephone conversation with the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, proposed holding the Second Dialogue of Women of Central Asia and Russia in Avaza in May 2025, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, during the conversation, the interlocutors exchanged warm congratulations and best wishes for the upcoming New Year, reaffirming their mutual commitment to strengthening and expanding the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.

During the conversation, the importance and demand for political dialogue, which has proven its effectiveness and alignment with the interests of peace, stability, and sustainable development, were noted.

One of the topics of the conversation was the discussion of prospects for cooperation in 2025, which, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, has been declared by the UN General Assembly as the International Year of Peace and Trust. In this regard, the need for uniting and consolidating the efforts of the world community to return the culture of dialogue, respect, and tolerance to global politics is becoming more urgent.

Women, with their high responsibility and perception of their humanitarian mission to current and future generations, are called to play a crucial role in this.

In this context, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the successful holding of the first Dialogue of Women of Central Asian States and Russia in Turkmenistan in 2022. It was emphasized that the forum demonstrated the stabilizing and constructive role of women in international life, giving an important impetus to their active involvement in the processes of enhancing interstate relations.

In this regard, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed to Valentina Matvienko to consider the possibility of holding the Second Dialogue of Women of Central Asian States and Russia in May next year in the national tourist zone "Avaza" on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea.

The special significance of such an event will be given by the fact that it will confirm the role and historical purpose of the Caspian Sea as a sea of peace, harmony, good neighborliness, and effective international cooperation, a place of meeting, dialogue, and mutual understanding. This is especially relevant against the backdrop of current complex trends in world politics.

The Second Dialogue on the Caspian should also demonstrate that this region is increasingly becoming one of the centers of responsible international diplomacy, a concentration of constructive impulses of cooperation and mutual understanding that will spread far beyond its borders, notes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
