On January 7, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Stanislav Chepurny, who presented his credentials to the head of state.

Expressing gratitude for the time devoted to the meeting, the diplomat conveyed to the President of Turkmenistan, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero Arkadag, cordial greetings and best wishes from President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who confirmed his country's commitment to the traditionally friendly interstate dialogue.

Having conveyed warm greetings and good wishes to the Belarusian leader in return, the head of Turkmenistan congratulated S.Chepurny on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post. Expressing confidence that during the fulfillment of this important mission, the Plenipotentiary representative of Belarus will do everything possible to strengthen and develop fruitful bilateral cooperation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished him success in his work.

During the meeting, an interested exchange of views took place on the current state and prospects of Turkmen-Belarusian relations based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, trust and constructive partnership. In this regard, it was noted with satisfaction that our countries actively cooperate not only bilaterally, but also in a multilateral format, within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the United Nations and the CIS.

At the same time, great importance is attached to strengthening the interstate humanitarian dialogue. The close cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus in the fields of education and science, sports, culture and art contributes to deepening the bonds of friendship between the two countries and peoples.

Expressing his sincere gratitude to the head of state for the opportunity to meet in person and wishing him success in fulfilling his responsible mission, the diplomat assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen traditional Turkmen-Belarusian relations and build a mutually beneficial partnership that meets the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
