President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahalliyev and hakims of velayats, which reviewed the situation in the agricultural sector and regions of the country, as well as the implementation of the National Rural Program, TDH reports.
After listening to the reports, the head of state noted that the agricultural sector faces such important tasks as supplying the population with high-quality agricultural products, as well as providing the national industry with raw materials. In this regard, Deputy Prime Minister T.Atahalliyev was instructed to monitor the timely completion of current seasonal work and strict compliance with the requirements of agricultural machinery during their implementation.
Further, addressing the participants of the workshop, the head of state emphasized the campaigns launched in agriculture. It was instructed to ensure the care of wheat fields in accordance with agrotechnical standards, as well as control over the pace of work on the areas allocated for cotton sowing: fertilizing with phosphorus fertilizer, plowing, harrowing, surveying and combing.
Focusing on the issues of cotton sowing, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to take the necessary measures to wash the allocated land in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats in accordance with the norms of agricultural technology, timely supply of producers with high-quality seeds, to bring equipment and aggregates into proper operational condition for the season.
The Head of State stressed the importance of harvesting sugar beet in Mary Velayat without losses, and making comprehensive preparations in advance for the planting of potatoes and vegetable crops in the coming spring in order to provide domestic consumers with sufficient quantities.
The President of Turkmenistan also ordered to keep under strict control measures to maintain the proper functionality of heating systems in residential buildings, school and preschool institutions, electricity, gas and water supply to the population, as well as the pace of work on social and industrial infrastructure facilities scheduled to open this year.
