President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Minister of Agriculture Charyyar Chetiyev and khyakimov velayats, where they discussed the current state of the agricultural sector in the country's regions. During the meeting, the head of state stressed the importance of timely and high-quality seasonal agricultural work, TDH reports.

The Minister of Agriculture reported on the progress of seasonal work, noting that wheat care continues in compliance with agrotechnical standards. Areas for cotton sowing are also being prepared, including leveling, harrowing, surveying and watering the soil. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to provide cotton producers with high-quality seeds and prepare agricultural machinery for the sowing season.

In addition, fields and seeds are being prepared in the velayats for the spring sowing of potatoes and other vegetable crops. The President of Turkmenistan also focused on the need for timely harvesting of sugar beet in Mary velayat and gave instructions on making payments for the work done with cotton and wheat producers.

The Head of State instructed to regularly clean agricultural fields, irrigation and drainage systems, as well as to ensure strict control over the operation of heating systems in residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, supply of electricity, natural gas and drinking water to the population.
