President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular government meeting via videoconference, where a number of relevant issues of state life were considered, TDH reports.

The first to speak was the Chairperson of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova, who informed about the ongoing legislative activities. As reported, at present, a working group created in parliament in accordance with the adopted programs for socio-economic development is developing bills aimed at legal support for various sectors of the economy, social policy, protection of human rights, freedoms and legitimate interests, and improvement of the electoral system. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of continuing work on developing modern laws.

Then, the Deputy Prime Ministers and the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers presented reports on the work carried out in the subordinate structures, their results, as well as on the measures taken for the further development of the relevant sectors of the national economy, the implementation of previously given instructions, foreign policy, international relations, upcoming events and preparations for them.

The head of state, having heard the reports, gave specific instructions and directions to the leaders concerning work in various sectors of the country, tasks for the further development of industries and international relations.

During the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution “On approval of the State Program for the Development of the Library Sphere of Turkmenistan for 2025-2029” and approved a number of proposals submitted for consideration.

The meeting also considered other important issues of state life and made relevant decisions.
