National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, reports the State News Agency or Turkmenistan.

During the telephone conversation, “an interested exchange of views took place on a number of important issues of bilateral cooperation.”

Noting the dynamic and consistent nature of interaction between Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated that in recent years this process has gained good momentum and covers more and more areas and directions.

“In the international arena, our countries cooperate fruitfully on key issues on the global agenda. This is the preservation and provision of general and regional security, implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, ecology and water issues, and a number of other areas.During the conversation, it was stated that bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan are on the rise today. Contacts have been established on a regular basis at the government, diplomatic and departmental levels,” the agency said in a statement.
