Representative of the Chinese company Hainan Weidu International Travel Co. Ltd Ravil Rizaev, during his visit to Turkmenistan, invited interested local departments to consider a project to organize flights from Ashgabat to the city of Sanya (the Chinese island of Hainan). The new destination for Hainan is supported by the Chinese government with subsidies of about US$130,000 per flight, he noted. This will allow citizens of Turkmenistan and China to fly on favorable terms in two directions – there and back. The newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” reports this. The resort island of Hainan is distinguished by its developed tourist infrastructure, the diversity of the nature of the Chinese tropics, clean sea water and beaches, healing hot springs, which, in combination with Chinese traditional medicine, help get rid of many health problems.
