Today, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova accepted letters of credence from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to Turkmenistan Jose Luis Martinez Hernandez.

The head of the national Parliament, on behalf of the head of state, congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to a responsible post, wishing him success in strengthening the bonds of friendly cooperation between the two countries and peoples. Thanking for the good wishes, the Ambassador, in turn, conveyed warm words of greetings to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on behalf of the top leadership of his country, as well as wishes for well-being and prosperity to the entire Turkmen people.

During the conversation, the diplomat was familiarized with the main directions and priorities of the domestic and foreign policy of independent neutral Turkmenistan, aimed at comprehensively expanding fruitful and mutually beneficial relations with all countries of the world, including the countries of Latin America, for which there is great potential.

The Ambassador was informed in detail about the socio-economic transformations being carried out in our country on the initiative of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov within the framework of comprehensive development programs and large-scale projects aimed at the successful integration of the Fatherland into the modern system of world economic relations.

The diplomat was also familiarized with the structure and legislative activities of the national parliament.

Showing great interest in the progressive transformations taking place in our country, Mr. Jose Luis Martinez Hernandez noted the growing international authority of Turkmenistan, which has achieved impressive successes in socio-economic and cultural development.

Continuing the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for cooperation, successfully built both in a bilateral and multilateral format, within the framework of large international organizations, primarily the United Nations.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to Turkmenistan Jose Luis Martinez Hernandez assured that, for his part, he would do his best to further strengthen the traditionally friendly interstate dialogue, based on the principles of mutual respect and trust.
