Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belarus Invites Lithuanian President to an International Forum

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus, Nazarguly Shaguliyev, paid a working visit to Vilnius, where he met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Julius Pranevičius.

According to the website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, Ambassador Shaguliyev handed over an official invitation addressed to the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The invitation pertains to Lithuania’s participation in the upcoming International Forum in Turkmenistan, dedicated to the proclamation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

During the meeting, both sides highly appreciated the work of the Turkmen-Lithuanian intergovernmental working group, reaffirming its key role in coordinating cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations. Ambassador Shaguliyev emphasized the existing potential for expanding trade and economic ties and called for enhanced interaction between the business communities of the two countries.
