President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Secretary General of the Bureau of International Exhibitions, Dimitri Kerkentzes. According to TDH, during the meeting, the guest expressed the Bureau’s interest in expanding its traditional relations with Turkmenistan. He also highlighted the high level of organization of the exhibition held in Ashgabat on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed firm confidence that the visit of Secretary General Dimitri Kerkentzes would contribute to further strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Bureau of International Exhibitions.

During the meeting, it was noted that developing partnerships with reputable international organizations is one of the key directions of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy. The effectiveness of the established cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Bureau of International Exhibitions was emphasized. Both parties acknowledged the significance of international exhibitions in fostering trade and economic relations, global economic activity, and mutually beneficial cooperation.

It was also mentioned that Turkmenistan is actively implementing a program to expand international trade and economic cooperation. According to the Concept of Turkmenistan's International Exhibition Activities for 2024-2025, great importance is placed on developing effective relations with the Bureau of International Exhibitions. As a member of the Bureau, Turkmenistan actively participates in world and specialized exhibitions held in various countries.

During his conversation with Kerkentzes, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that Turkmenistan would take an active part in the World Expo 2025, which will be held in April this year in Osaka, and wished for the event’s successful organization. The Bureau of International Exhibitions is responsible for organizing the event.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to hosting internationally significant exhibitions aimed at global development, strengthening effective relations in this field, and wished the Secretary General of the Bureau of International Exhibitions success in his activities.
