Serdar Berdimuhamedov holds meeting of Turkmenistan’s state security council

President of Turkmenistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, chaired a regular meeting of the State Security Council, TDH reports.

The meeting reviewed the performance of military and law enforcement agencies for the first quarter of 2025, discussed issues of national security and stability, and addressed the strengthening of the material and technical base of security forces.

Heads of security agencies delivered reports. Secretary of the State Security Council and Minister of Defense, Begench Gundogdyev, reported on measures to enhance the country’s defense capability and the progress of the conscription campaign. Prosecutor General Batyr Mukhammedov presented updates on legal oversight and the digitalization of the prosecutor’s office.

Minister of Internal Affairs, Muhammet Hydyrov, provided an overview of public order maintenance and the implementation of the ministry’s development program. Reports were also presented by the Chairman of the Supreme Court, the Minister of National Security, the Head of the State Border Service, and other law enforcement officials.

Summarizing the meeting, the President emphasized that, in line with Turkmenistan’s defensive Military Doctrine, efforts will continue to ensure the security of the neutral state and improve the social and living conditions of military personnel.

Following the discussions, the State Security Council adopted relevant decisions.
