Turkmenistan's contribution to strengthening international peace and trust discussed in Tbilisi

On April 10, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia held a briefing for Georgian media representatives dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. The event brought together journalists from leading TV channels, print and electronic media outlets of the country.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia D. Seyitmammedov noted in his speech that the foreign policy initiatives of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov are receiving broad support in the international arena.

During the briefing, the results of the recent official visit of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to Turkmenistan were also discussed. The Ambassador emphasized the key role of high-level contacts in the development of bilateral relations.

The media representatives were also provided with information about the upcoming festive events in Turkmenistan and abroad dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality. The event ended with a video showing about Turkmenistan’s neutral status.
