Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Affairs of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, paid a working visit to Ahal Velayat, where she visited several medical institutions specializing in the treatment and rehabilitation of children, reports TDH.

During the visit, Atabayeva familiarized herself with the operations of the Regional Rehabilitation Training Complex, the multiprofile hospital, and the Maternal and Child Health Center. Particular attention was given to modern methods of restoring the health of children with disabilities and to creating conditions necessary for their harmonious development.

At the Rehabilitation Complex, the Foundation’s Vice President toured various specialized rooms, including those for early intervention, speech therapy, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy, as well as creative activity spaces. She emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation, combining medical procedures with the development of patients' creative and cognitive abilities.

“The use of advanced methods plays a significant role in the successful rehabilitation of children,” Atabayeva noted, offering recommendations to the specialists on improving their work and adopting international best practices.

At the maternity ward of the multiprofile hospital and the Maternal and Child Health Center, the Foundation's Vice President paid special attention to the facilities’ equipment and the qualifications of the medical staff. She stressed that maternal health is a key factor in shaping a healthy generation.

At the conclusion of the visit, Oguljahan Atabayeva presented gifts on behalf of the Charitable Foundation to children engaged in art and music, wishing them a speedy recovery and active participation in society.
