The new Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Pakistan, Mr. Emmanuel Fernandez, visited the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad on April 14, where he had a meeting with Ambassador Atajan Movlamov.

According to the Turkmen diplomatic mission’s website, the parties discussed the situation in the region and expressed mutual interest in stabilizing the situation and strengthening peace in Afghanistan.

Turkmenistan's Ambassador, A. Movlamov, emphasized the country's commitment to implementing infrastructure and energy projects related to Afghanistan and providing humanitarian aid to the Afghan people.

The Filipino diplomat highly praised Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, based on the principles of good-neighborliness and mutually beneficial partnership.

The parties expressed the interest of their governments in further strengthening bilateral, regional, and multilateral cooperation, the source reports.
