The official visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the French Republic has ended. According to experts, it opened a new page in interstate relations and became a clear evidence of Turkmenistan's commitment to the development of fruitful cooperation with interested countries.

As part of the busy program of the visit, meetings were held with the President of France Emmanuel Macron, the head of Bouygues Martin Bouygues, as well as participation in the Turkmen-French Economic Forum.

The key outcome of the visit was the signing of nine bilateral documents covering a wide range of cooperation areas: from energy and digital technologies to education and archeology. Particular attention was paid to attracting French investment in the economy of Turkmenistan and promoting joint projects in the field of sustainable development.

An important result of the high-level talks was the confirmation of the readiness of Turkmenistan and France for further close cooperation in various areas of mutual interest. Significant prospects for cooperation in the oil and gas sector, satellite technologies, transport, construction, water management, chemical and pharmaceutical industries were noted.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also invited the French side to take part in the international forum on December 12 in Ashgabat, which will be dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality.

After completing the program of the visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov flew to Ashgabat, where he was met at the international airport by officials of the country, TDH reports.
