President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on a digital system, where the results of the work carried out in the country over the four months of the current year were summed up, TDH reports.

As reported during the meeting, Turkmenistan's GDP grew by 6.3% in January-April 2025. Growth in industry was 0.6%, in construction - 4.4%, in the transport and communications sector - 11.1%, in trade - 9.9%, in agriculture - 4%, in the services sector - 8.8%.

The state concern "Türkmennebit" exceeded the oil production plan by 7.9%. The plan for oil refining was fulfilled by 105.9%, for gasoline production - by 102.3%, diesel fuel - by 100.8%, lubricating oils - by 110.4%, liquefied gas - by 111.7%. The production of natural and associated gas exceeded the plan by 3.5%.

In the agro-industrial complex, the production growth rate was 117.3% compared to the same period last year. Production in the construction and industrial sector increased by 12%.

The turnover of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations increased by 23.6%. The Ministry of Textile Industry showed a 12.8% increase in production, including cotton yarn - by 38.2%, cotton fabric - by 48%, leather goods - by 31%.

In the transport industry, the overall growth was 16.6%. The cargo transportation plan by all modes of transport was fulfilled by 103.7%, passenger transportation - by 102.3%.

During the reporting period, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted 8 laws and 9 resolutions aimed at strengthening national legislation.

In the sphere of foreign policy, 237 online meetings and 908 official negotiations with representatives of foreign states and international organizations were held. 54 international documents were signed.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov recalled that the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be widely celebrated on May 9. A flower-laying ceremony in memory of the war heroes will be held at the Halk hakydasy memorial complex in Ashgabat.
