National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the Arkadag football club on winning the AFC Challenge League Cup, TDH reports.

“I sincerely congratulate the Arkadag football team on the victory in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge League! This triumphant success, achieved in the International Year of Peace and Trust, has become a worthy gift for the jubilee, 30th anniversary of the neutrality of the Fatherland! Your next achievement has further increased the authority of the Motherland in the international sports arena,” the congratulations of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty read.

The message notes that Turkmenistan pays special attention to the development of high-performance sports, mass physical education, and creates all the conditions for increasing the prestige of Turkmen sports in the world arena.

"In the International Year of Peace and Trust, our motto "Sport is an Ambassador of Peace" is spreading around the world: sport strengthens friendship, brotherhood, trust and peace between nations. With your successful performance at the international competition, you raised the authority of our peace-loving Fatherland to a higher level. In the final match, which took place in an atmosphere of intense competition, you showed special zeal, determination and skill, thanks to which you won the victory and became the owner of the AFC Challenge League. Your achievements increase the love of young people for sports," the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also said that a new building for a children's library is planned to be built with the prize money of the Arkadag football club for winning the AFC Challenge League.

"Considering your request to transfer the cash prize won by the Arkadag football team at the prestigious international tournament to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, we have decided to direct these funds to the construction of a new building of the Bazar Amanov State Children's Library," said the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan.

According to him, the modern library will provide the younger generation with the opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge through a digital system.

"As they say, "An educated people will be ahead!" Therefore, all conditions will be created so that children can study, master new things, engage in sports and art. Physically strong and spiritually rich children with brilliant knowledge are our future and our happy tomorrow," added Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
