On May 21, 2025, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Minsk organized a meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan N. Shagulyev at the Belarusian State Medical University with Turkmen students studying in higher educational institutions of the country.

The event was dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as a significant date - the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality.Before the event, Ambassador Shagulyev met with the rector of BSMU, Professor S.P. Rubnikovich. The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of fruitful cooperation in the fields of education and science.

Particular attention was paid to the quality of the educational process for Turkmen students, their living conditions in Belarus and the prospects for further deepening of cooperation between educational institutions of the two countries.The ceremony was attended by representatives of the rector's office, the faculty of the university, numerous students and employees of the Embassy of Turkmenistan.

Opening the meeting, Vice-Rector for International Relations of BSMU Professor V.V. Rudenok and Ambassador N. Shagulyev delivered welcoming speeches.In his address, the Ambassador particularly noted the peaceful foreign policy pursued by the President of the country and spoke about large-scale plans and events that are planned to be held in connection with the announcement of the year of 2025 - the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The diplomat recalled that the current year is marked by the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, which will be widely celebrated on December 12, 2025.Ambassador Shagulyev also held an important conversation with students, focusing on the formation of high moral qualities in the younger generation, a sense of patriotism, harmonious development of the individual, which plays a key role in the training of qualified specialists capable of making a worthy contribution to the prosperity of Turkmenistan and strengthening its authority in the international arena.During the meeting, thematic videos prepared by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus were presented to the audience.
