President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahalliyev and velayat khyakims, emphasized the importance of the current agricultural season and the need for organized preparation for the upcoming spring sowing campaign, TDH reports.

It is noted that the head of state gave specific instructions to ensure the readiness of sown areas, agricultural equipment, seed material and compliance with agrotechnical standards.

The working meeting, held digitally and chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, reviewed the progress of seasonal field work in the country. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, informed about the activities carried out in the velayats to care for wheat crops, prepare areas for cotton and planting potatoes and vegetable and melon crops.

In his speech, the President of Turkmenistan focused on the importance of timely and high-quality preparation for the spring sowing campaign as a key factor for obtaining a rich harvest.

The head of state instructed the vice-premier to keep under constant control the issues of planning and preparing areas for cotton, the condition of agricultural equipment, providing cotton growers with high-quality seeds and compliance with agrotechnical standards when caring for winter crops.

The khyakims of the velayats were given instructions to ensure the organized sowing of potatoes, onions and other vegetable crops, as well as the full readiness of equipment for sowing work.
