Turkmen racers Merdan and Shohrat Toylyev from the Ministry of Automobile Transport, driving a Nissan Patrol, have claimed victory in the T2 production off-road class of the international Silk Way Rally marathon.

The final 11th stage took place on July 22 along the Kosh-Agach – Gorno-Altaisk route, covering 131.29 km of special sections.

The Toylyev brothers finished with a total time of 47 hours 18 minutes 7 seconds, outperforming their compatriots Meilis Abdullayev and Italmaz Charyyev (also in a Nissan Patrol), who secured second place. Maxatmyrat Danatarov and Didar Orazmedov (Nissan Patrol) completed the podium.

The decisive moment came during the ninth stage, when Danatarov, then leading the overall standings, failed to complete the special section and received a 21-hour penalty. This allowed Merdan Toylyev to take the lead and maintain it until the finish.

The 2025 Silk Way Rally raid ran from July 12 to 22 across Russia and Mongolia, starting in Irkutsk and finishing in Gorno-Altaisk. The T2 production off-road category featured three teams—all representing the Turkmenistan Automobile Sports Federation.
