Temporary traffic restrictions are being introduced in Ashgabat

19.09.2025

The Ashgabat administration announced the introduction of partial traffic restrictions on several streets and avenues in the capital. These measures are related to landscaping work in preparation for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality.

According to the city administration, the restrictions will be implemented in stages from September to November 2025 on various sections of the road network. The longest-term restrictions will apply to Neutral Turkmenistan Avenue, until October 30.

Temporary restrictions will affect the city's main thoroughfares, including Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy, Magtymguly, and Nezavisimosti Avenues, as well as Alisher Navoi, Gorogly, and other streets. The work will be carried out in sections ranging from several blocks to entire avenues.

Authorities recommend that residents and visitors to the capital take the restrictions into account when planning routes and use alternative routes around the city.
