A number of agreements and memorandums of cooperation with foreign companies were signed on Sunday in Ashgabat as part of the 25th multidisciplinary international exhibition and conference “White City Ashgabat” (WCA 2026). The forum brought together representatives of Turkmenistan’s government agencies, the Ashgabat municipality and international businesses.
The documents cover digital technologies, energy, industry, transport infrastructure and urban development.
The Ministries of Energy, Communications, and Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan signed a multilateral memorandum of understanding with Singapore-based Bitdeer Technologies Group. The agreement provides for the development of digital infrastructure, a technological ecosystem and support for the digital transformation of the economy.
Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Energy also signed a framework agreement with Muroosystems Corporation. The sides intend to cooperate on the modernization of the energy system and the introduction of innovative solutions.
State concern Türkmenhimiýa signed a memorandum of cooperation with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., Mitsubishi Corporation Machinery Inc. and Çalık Enerji. A separate agreement was signed with Hong Kong Richie Sweet Co., Ltd. to expand production capacities and develop investment cooperation.
In the transport sector, Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Automobile Roads signed a memorandum with Inros Lackner SE. Agreements were also reached with Shantui Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and Sinotruk Hong Kong Capital Holding Limited on the supply of construction machinery and the modernization of the vehicle fleet.
The Ashgabat municipality signed contracts with Gök depeler to build two schools with capacity for 720 students each and a kindergarten for 320 children in the Bagyr residential district. Private enterprise Hil merkez will build a new medical center.
The signing of documents within the framework of WCA 2026 reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s policy of expanding international cooperation in digitalization, industrial development, infrastructure and modern urban planning.
