A fifth-generation mobile network (5G) has been launched in the Avaza National Tourist Zone ahead of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The new technology provided high-speed internet access during international events and will now serve the digital needs of visitors and holidaymakers in the resort area.
The development of modern telecommunications infrastructure in Avaza is part of ongoing efforts to improve digital services in Turkmenistan. The introduction of 5G has created additional opportunities for stable internet connectivity, data transmission, and the use of modern online services during international meetings that brought together representatives from various countries.
Efforts to develop telecommunications infrastructure and introduce advanced communication technologies are being carried out by the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan. The ministry is consistently expanding digital communication capabilities, improving service quality, and creating conditions for the wider use of modern technologies across different regions of the country.
Following the conclusion of the events, the 5G network continues to operate in Avaza, providing holidaymakers with access to high-speed mobile internet. This is particularly relevant for the tourist zone, where modern communication technologies play an important role in organising leisure activities, staying in touch, using digital services, and sharing travel experiences.
The launch of the fifth-generation network marks another step in the development of Avaza's digital infrastructure, enhancing its potential not only as a venue for international events but also as a modern tourist destination.
These efforts are a clear reflection of the measures being implemented in our country under the leadership of the esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as in line with the far-sighted initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, aimed at developing the digital economy, modernising the communications system, and promoting the widespread adoption of advanced technologies.
