I am firmly convinced that the next sports festival, the international ice hockey tournament, held in our white marble city, made a great contribution to the further strengthening of friendly, fraternal and good–neighborly relations between peoples, the development of winter sports in the country, and the improvement of the skills and experience of hockey players.

As a result of the grandiose reforms successfully implemented in the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, Turkmen sport is reaching a qualitatively new level. Large-scale work is being carried out in the independent neutral Homeland to form a national sports sphere, strengthen public health, develop the Olympic movement and intensify international sports cooperation, create a modern system of logistics for international sports.

The construction and commissioning of sports grounds, stadiums, an Olympic town that has no analogues in the region, equestrian complexes, specialized sports schools in all velayats, in our capital Ashgabat and in the city of Arkadag contribute to the training of our athletes who win international competitions held abroad, adequately defending the sporting honor of the Motherland.

The importance of major competitions held in the country is high in increasing its international prestige. By strengthening the principles of positive neutrality as one of the effective diplomatic tools of its foreign policy strategy, Turkmenistan defines the expansion of humanitarian ties, including cooperation in the field of sports, among the priority areas of state policy.

In recent years, at the initiative of the Hero Arkadaga, much attention has been paid to hockey, one of the winter sports in our country. Various hockey tournaments, including national championships, are regularly held. The Turkmenistan Hockey Federation operates in our country.

Holding an international ice hockey tournament at a high level in a modern winter Sports Complex has once again demonstrated to the world that our country is able to host international winter sports competitions along with various large-scale sports competitions.

I am firmly convinced that this major international tournament, organized at a high level in our Homeland, will enhance the international sports prestige of Turkmenistan, will contribute to its transformation into a sports power, and will also make a great contribution to the development of hockey.

The successes achieved at the international tournament are a clear confirmation of the formation of a developed national sports sphere in the country.
