Ashgabat and Kazan strengthen multidisciplinary cooperation


A meeting was held in Ashgabat between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse, TDH writes.

The guest conveyed greetings and congratulations to the head of Turkmenistan on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He noted that the large-scale celebrations serve as a vivid testimony to the enduring glory of the legendary Akhal-Teke horses, which are an invaluable cultural heritage of the peoples of the world.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for further deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, taking into account the interests of national economies and extensive experience of working together in the implementation of major projects. The role of the Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group as an effective mechanism for maintaining a productive dialogue and strengthening trade and economic partnership was emphasized.

Rustam Minnikhanov expressed the interest of Tatarstan business circles in expanding their presence in the promising Turkmen market, highly appreciating the favorable investment climate created in the country and the authority of Turkmenistan as a reliable partner.

Fruitful cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including in the scientific and educational sphere, was particularly noted. The Head of Tatarstan highly appreciated the large-scale work in Turkmenistan to revive and popularize the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people.

At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed the inviolability of traditionally friendly bilateral ties and exchanged mutual good wishes.
