03.05.2024

An automated system for measuring water flow on this important waterway has been launched on the shore of the Karakum Canal.

The launch was carried out by employees of the State Committee for Water Management of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the U.S. Agency for International Development.

The system was installed by the Bosporus Youth Center together with the "Garagumderýasuwhojalyk" association. Being an effective tool, this system will allow you to plan a more accurate distribution of water for agriculture, drinking needs and industry. The data will be recorded in the software from this system and available in real time.

Thanks to these data, the government will have a complete picture of the water consumed by farmers, and the ability to calculate the amount needed for optimal crop growth, while other water users will benefit from a more stable and efficient water supply.
