The President of Turkmenistan laid flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Moscow on a working visit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. As an honorary guest, the head of Turkmenistan took part in the celebrations dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Together with the leaders of foreign states, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the Eternal Flame at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow after the Victory Day Parade. The solemn part of the event was headed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The ceremony was attended by the Presidents of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, Lao People's Democratic Republic Thonglong Sisulit and Guinea-Bissau Umaru Sissoku Embalo.

The servicemen of the presidential regiment set a wreath of scarlet roses to the Eternal Flame. The leaders of the CIS countries then laid red carnations and honored the memory of those who died in the war with a silent bow.

In 2024, the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War is celebrated.
