Dmitry Medvedev congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on Victory Day and thanked the WWII veterans

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev sent warm congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, TDH reports.

In his message, Medvedev noted the heroic feat of the Soviet people, who at the front and in the rear, at the cost of incredible efforts and sacrifices, brought forward the defeat of the Nazi invaders for 1418 days. He expressed deep gratitude to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers, paying tribute to their unbending courage, fortitude and selfless love for the Motherland.

“I am convinced that the younger generations of Russians and Turkmenistan will carefully preserve and enhance the legacy of their heroic ancestors. Brotherhood, forged in the harsh trials of the Great Patriotic War, will remain a reliable basis for deepening cooperation between Moscow and Ashgabat in the interests of regional security and stability,” Medvedev emphasized.

The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation conveyed sincere words of gratitude to all war veterans and home front workers living in Turkmenistan, wishing them good health and prosperity.
