An online meeting between Turkmenistan and Georgia took place


The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia organized an online meeting on the publication of a collection of poems by Makhtumkuli Fraga in Georgian.

At the meeting, the Turkmen side was headed by the director of the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Makhtumkuli ANT Davut Orazsakhedov. On the Georgian side, the meeting was attended by Chairman of the Creative Union of Writers of Georgia Makvala Gonashvili, President of the International Academy of Writers, Artists and Public Figures of Georgia "Gulani" Naira Marshania and Head of the Translation Department of the Golden Fund of Artists Shorena Bochorishvili.

During the meeting, Davut Orazsakhedov thanked Makvala Gonashvili for translating the great poet's poems into Georgian. He noted that the publication will help Georgian readers get acquainted with the work of the great philosopher and thinker, touch the rich culture of the Turkmen people, and will also become another valuable contribution to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the active cooperation of the creative and scientific intelligentsia of Turkmenistan and Georgia will contribute to further strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries and peoples.
