International relations: a culture of peaceful dialogue

As you know, the international competition "International Relations: Culture of peaceful dialogue", organized jointly by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be held from May 22 to 25, 2024. More than 230 students from higher educational institutions of Central Asia, the Caspian Littoral States, the Republic of Turkey, the People's Republic of China and Turkmenistan have registered to participate in this competition. More precisely, more than 40 masters and students from 11 prestigious higher educational institutions from 9 foreign countries, as well as students from 20 higher educational institutions of the country, will take part in the competition. In particular, the Moscow Institute of State International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the ADA University of Azerbaijan, the Institute of Political and International Scientific Research of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Caspian University of Technology and Engineering. Esenov of Kazakhstan, K. Dikambaev Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the instruction of the President, as well as the initiative of Turkmenistan at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, the Resolution "2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust" sets the goal of spreading the principles of peacefulness, confidence–building and mutual dialogue. The Year of Peace and Trust" among young people. This competition is important for achieving positive results in strengthening peace, developing international dialogue, developing cultural diplomacy and developing international youth cooperation. In addition, this international competition, which will be organized jointly by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, is aimed at identifying the talents of students in international relations on the basis of mutual intellectual cooperation. to strengthen friendly ties between students of the respective regions, to promote the exchange of educational experience. Its purpose is to provide, train young specialists capable of solving scientific and practical problems that arise today, establish and strengthen mutually beneficial ties between higher educational institutions of the country and foreign countries, and promote cultural and educational diplomacy of Neutral Turkmenistan.

The international competition will be organized in individual and group form, and according to the relevant regulations, its individual stage will be conducted on the basis of test questions and written examination assignments. The test questions will reflect regional and international relations, their political and diplomatic, trade and economic, historical and cultural and other relevant areas, in particular, the following areas and problems:

— The importance and content of important initiatives of independent and neutral Turkmenistan;

— Wide participation of youth from neighboring and regional countries at the international level in the implementation of the Resolution "2025 – the Year of International Peace and Trust", adopted at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly on the initiative of Turkmenistan;

— Topical issues on the international agenda for the effective establishment of dialogue and cooperation for the sake of regional peace;

— new and relevant areas of regional cooperation. Also, the preliminary composition of the tasks to be considered and proposed for solution within the framework of the international competition is as follows:

— modern trends and methods of peaceful dialogue in international relations;

— strengthening the influence of the policy of neutrality in establishing peace;

— effective directions of cultural diplomacy and increasing its influence on the development of international cooperation;

— new directions of mathematical methods of modeling sustainable development;

— modeling of international negotiations;

— modeling of international negotiations;

— research of global trends in international transport logistics; the use of mathematical modeling in making optimal decisions in international relations;

— to propose new and relevant areas of regional cooperation.

In addition, at the individual stage of the international competition, participants will test their problem solving skills. Tasks and problems include the use of mathematical methods in international relations, mathematical modeling, econometrics, logistics, etc. will be from the fields. The content of the tasks includes new directions of mathematical methods in modeling sustainable development, modeling international negotiations, the use of information technology in the study of international economic relations, the study of global trends in international transport logistics, the use of mathematics and mathematical modeling in making optimal decisions in international relations, etc. will be from the fields.

In the individual competition, the results will be determined by the sum of the two best rounds.

At the group stage of the international competition, participants will compete in solving tasks and tasks in a group. At this stage, participants will learn about the application of mathematical methods in international relations, mathematical modeling, econometrics, logistics, etc. They will solve 5-10 problems in different directions. At this stage, the winners of the groups will be determined.

A joint brain-ring of participants of the international contest "Attack of Wisdom" will also be held. The event will be held in the format of a brainstorming session lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes and an additional 30 minutes to prepare, coordinate and finalize the final proposal. The main purpose of this round is to present the best methods of dialogue and cooperation between international actors and their types as a result of the analysis of current problems of the international and regional situation.

At this stage, the winners are not determined. Active participants in the discussion, groups or participants whose ideas and suggestions are widely reflected in the content of the Final Proposal will be highlighted.

The winners of individual and team competitions will be awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals, diplomas of 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees, certificates of honor and gifts, respectively.

The Organizing Committee was created for the highly organized organization of the international competition. Cultural, entertainment and presentation events were planned for foreign guests. This will allow foreign guests to get acquainted with the wonders of the beautiful capital, as well as the peculiarities of the National School of Turkmen Diplomacy and the domestic experience in training young diplomats.
