The head of Turkmenistan instructed to ensure a high level of organization of the international transport forum

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to ensure a high level of organization of the upcoming international exhibition and conference “International transport and transit corridors: interconnection and development - 2023” in Ashgabat next week. Relevant instructions of the head of state were given to the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers Mammethan Chakyyev at the meeting of the Government held today, the information program Watan of the Turkmen television reported.
The preliminary agenda of the forum, which will be held on May 3-4 in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country, includes such issues as the expansion of international cooperation, transport and logistics interconnectedness in the modern economy, digitalization in trade and logistics, current trends in postal services, e-commerce , trade and industry, the role of public-private partnerships in the development of connectivity of transport and logistics infrastructure, innovative technologies, science and education in the industry, etc. A number of events are planned within the framework of the conference.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the creation of favorable conditions for the reliability of international transport corridors contributes to the transformation of Turkmenistan into an important hub of transnational routes in continental directions, acquires special significance as an integral factor in global sustainable development.
According to the head of state, the planned international forum is designed to help build up the country's transport and transit potential and further productive partnership.
We previously reported that more than 900 delegates have already registered for the International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development (ITTC) conference. And as part of EXPO ITTC-2023, more than 80 stands will be presented.
