Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Parahat Durdiyev presented his credentials to the new President of Vietnam To Lam. The award ceremony took place in Hanoi on June 21.

The Ambassador conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed to the President of Vietnam, and also confirmed the interest of the Turkmen side in striving to expand friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Vietnam in various directions.

For his part, To Lam expressed deep gratitude for the warm greetings and wishes addressed to him, and asked to convey friendly greetings in return to the leadership of Turkmenistan.

The sides exchanged views on the agenda of Turkmen-Vietnamese relations covering various spheres of interstate cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

It should be recalled that in 2019, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China Durdiyev Parahat Hommadovich was appointed at the same time Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the country to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam with residence in Beijing.
