On July 31, a meeting was held in Seoul between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea Begench Durdiyev and the Director General of the Northeast and Central Asia Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Mr. Kang Young-sin. During the talks, the parties discussed priority areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea, paying special attention to expanding interaction in various fields.

Begench Durdiyev and Kang Young-sin exchanged views on a number of issues, including bilateral and multilateral events planned for the near future. Both sides emphasized the importance of developing mutually beneficial cooperation covering economic, cultural and scientific spheres.

In addition, the possibilities of strengthening business ties between the countries, as well as prospects for joint projects in the energy and technological fields were discussed. The meeting demonstrated the common interest of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea in further developing friendly and partnership relations.
