On September 11, an important agricultural campaign began in Turkmenistan – the cotton harvest, reports TDH.

With the blessing of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the harvest started in the provinces of the country, which is key for the agro-industrial complex. The head of state wished the cotton growers and all agricultural workers great success in their work.

Cotton farming plays an important role in the economy of Turkmenistan, contributing to the implementation of national programs for import substitution and increasing export potential. The country's natural and climatic conditions are favorable for growing various types of cotton, making cotton fiber a valuable raw material for the textile industry, whose products are in demand on the world market.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of timely and high-quality agricultural activities for a successful harvest.

As part of the campaign, round-the-clock technical and service support for equipment has been organized, and conditions have been created for productive work and rest for workers. The start of the harvest was traditionally blessed by respected elders, who offered prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the country.
