Today, in the Mary Province of Turkmenistan, a ceremonial foundation laying of the new gas compressor station 'Şatlyk-1' took place. The event was attended by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Acting Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund.

The 'Şatlyk-1' project is an important step in the development of Turkmenistan's energy sector and aims to ensure stable gas supplies to the region.

Earlier, at a Cabinet meeting on August 30, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the construction of the 'Şatlyk-1' gas compressor station.

According to the document, the State Concern 'Turkmengaz' was authorized to sign a contract with the Turkish company "Çalik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş." for the design, construction, and equipping of the facility with necessary equipment, as well as for commissioning works.
