On September 25, with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero-Arkadag, as well as President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, a sadaqa was held at the Turkmenbashi Spiritual Mosque in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the sacred independence of the Motherland and the successful completion of the session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

As is known, at the national forum held on September 24, Hero-Arkadag addressed the participants of the session with a proposal to hold a joint sadaqa at the Turkmenbashi Spiritual Mosque, following the traditions of our ancestors, which was unanimously supported.

In front of the mausoleum next to the mosque, Hero Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Haji Serdar were warmly welcomed.

First of all, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov laid flowers at the memorial in the mausoleum next to the mosque.

Then flowers were laid by the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, the General Director of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, military and law enforcement agencies, as well as heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in our country.

Then the Mufti of Turkmenistan recited the ayat-tovir for the repose of the souls of the deceased, paying tribute to the first President of Turkmenistan, Saparmurat Niyazov.

During the conversation held here with the heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states accredited in our country, Hero-Arkadag noted that the session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was held at a high level the day before, which became a testament to the triumph of national democracy. Under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, active interaction with the states of the world is being carried out for the comprehensive development of the country. The National Leader of the Turkmen people thanked the representatives of friendly countries for their active participation in such important events.

The ambassadors, in turn, expressed their wishes that today's sadaqa be accepted by the Almighty, and also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

Then Hero Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Haji Serdar descended to the lower floor of the mausoleum. Here, the country's Mufti recited the ayat-tovir for the repose of the soul of the first President of Turkmenistan.

After the Mufti of Turkmenistan recited the ayat-tovir and offered prayers with good wishes, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the head of state headed to the Turkmenbashi Spiritual Mosque. On the way, Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar familiarized themselves with the architectural features of the mosque, which was reconstructed, and the landscaping of the surrounding area.

The major modernization of the mosque, with a capacity of 10,000 people, was carried out with the support of Arkadagly Haji Serdar, which is a vivid confirmation of the worthy continuation of the noble national traditions of our people in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state.

Both in the external design of the mosque and in the interior decoration, valuable construction and decorative materials were used.

The Mufti of Turkmenistan, having read verses from the Holy Quran, expressed gratitude on behalf of religious figures for the favorable conditions created for performing prayers in the mosque, where reconstruction was carried out.

Then Hero Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Haji Serdar participated in the sadaqa in memory of all the deceased.

At the same time, historically significant decrees were signed, aimed at the further comprehensive development of the sovereign Motherland. Among them is a document on holding high-level events to mark 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, which evokes a sense of pride in each of us and will serve as a kind of start in the successful implementation of politically important initiatives for the progress of the country and the well-being of the people. The unanimous adoption of the resolution to declare the upcoming year the International Year of Peace and Trust, based on the initiative put forward by the President of Turkmenistan at the UN General Assembly, places a great responsibility on us, said Hero-Arkadag.

Continuing, it was noted that today we, commemorating the deceased, the first President of Turkmenistan, the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashi, are giving sadaqa.

The Mufti of Turkmenistan recited verses from the Holy Quran and offered prayers to the Almighty for the prosperity of the sovereign state, the unity of the people, and the achievement of high goals. Prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the deceased who gave their lives for the sovereignty and independence of the Motherland, as well as for the repose of the souls of the father and mother of Hero-Arkadag, the grandfather and grandmother of the President of Turkmenistan – Malikguly aga and Ogulabat eje.

Then, according to tradition, various dishes of national cuisine were served to the participants of the sadaqa.

At the end of the meal, the National Leader of the Turkmen people asked the Mufti of Turkmenistan to recite the ayat-tovir. Prayers were also offered for the successful implementation of the progressive initiatives of Hero Haji Arkadag, now worthily continued under the leadership of Arkadagly Haji Serdar, and for the further strengthening of Turkmenistan's independence, the implementation of initiatives aimed at the prosperity of the Motherland, and ensuring the happy life of the people.

Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, addressing those gathered, noted that "today we have together fulfilled a sacred duty, paid tribute to the deceased. May this sadaqa and prayers be accepted by the Almighty! May peace and prosperity reign in the country under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar!"

At the end of the sadaqa, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President of Turkmenistan Arkadagly Hero Serdar warmly said goodbye to the participants of the event and left the venue.
