On September 30, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and the hakims of the velayats. The agenda included issues related to the implementation of the National Rural Program and the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the country.
The first to speak was the head of the administration of the Ahal velayat, S. Soltanmyradov, who reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.
As reported, necessary measures are currently being taken to increase the pace of cotton harvesting as quickly as possible and without losses, including the full utilization of agricultural machinery, the uninterrupted operation of reception points, and cotton processing enterprises.
In addition, work is underway to continue wheat sowing in accordance with agrotechnical standards, the effective use of agricultural machinery and equipment, and the vegetative irrigation of crops.
At the same time, care is being taken for potato, vegetable, and other crop plantings in the velayat's agricultural lands, and the harvested crops are being collected.
Information was provided on the ongoing preparation of heating systems for buildings and structures in the education and culture sectors, public facilities, and residential buildings for winter, as well as on the progress of construction of various facilities under the National Rural Program, scheduled for commissioning this year.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to harvest cotton without losses and to properly conduct wheat sowing in accordance with agrotechnical requirements, giving the hakim a number of specific instructions in this regard.
Focusing on the importance of successfully implementing the tasks outlined in the National Rural Program, the head of state ordered to keep the quality of construction of various facilities, planned for opening this year, under control.
Then, the hakim of the Balkan velayat, H. Ashyrmyradov, reported on the pace of seasonal work of the current campaigns, the measures taken to organize the cotton harvest, ensure the coordinated work of the involved structures, as well as the uninterrupted transportation, reception, and placement of the harvested crop.
In addition, wheat sowing continues in compliance with agrotechnical standards, efforts are being made to effectively use agricultural machinery and timely irrigate crops.
To fulfill the tasks set by the head of state to increase the production of vegetables and other food crops in the country and provide the population with these products, care is being taken for potato, vegetable, and other crop plantings in the velayat's fields, and the harvested crops are being collected.
With the approach of the winter season, preparations are underway for the heating systems of buildings in the education and culture sectors, public facilities, and residential buildings.
It was also reported on the progress of construction of social and cultural facilities and production facilities under the country's socio-economic development program for 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program, scheduled for commissioning this year.
Summarizing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of the seasonal agricultural work being carried out these days, instructing the hakim to conduct wheat sowing within agrotechnical deadlines and to accelerate the pace of cotton harvesting.
The head of state also ordered to keep the quality of construction of buildings and structures of various purposes under control within the framework of the country's socio-economic development programs, planned for commissioning this year.
The working meeting via the digital system continued with a report by the hakim of the Dashoguz velayat, D. Babayev, on the progress of agricultural work in the region's fields.
As noted, necessary measures are currently being taken to organize the cotton harvest and increase its pace, as well as to effectively operate combines and other machinery.
In addition, efforts are being made to ensure the quality of wheat sowing in the region to obtain good seedlings.
At the same time, care is being taken for winter crops and the harvested crops are being collected, as well as preparatory activities for rice harvesting.
It was reported on the preparation of the velayat for the winter heating season of social and cultural buildings and on the progress of construction under the National Rural Program of various facilities, which are planned for commissioning this year.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the hakim to take necessary measures to conduct wheat sowing in accordance with agrotechnical standards and to harvest cotton as quickly as possible and without losses.
The head of state also ordered to keep the quality of construction work on various facilities under the National Rural Program, planned for opening this year in the region, under constant control.
Then, the hakim of the Lebap velayat, M. Annanepesov, reported on the progress of seasonal campaigns, the agricultural activities being implemented to increase the pace and quality of the cotton harvest, as well as the proper use of combines in the fields, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of relevant enterprises and the timely delivery of the harvest to the state.
In addition, wheat sowing continues in the velayat in compliance with agrotechnical requirements. Everything necessary is being done to fully utilize special equipment. Vegetative irrigation is being carried out in the sown fields.
Guided by the tasks set by the head of state to ensure food abundance in the country, care is being taken for winter potatoes, vegetables, and other agricultural crops in the region, and the harvested crops are being collected. At the same time, preparations are underway for rice harvesting.
Information was provided on the preparatory work for the winter heating season of social and cultural buildings, as well as on the progress of construction of various facilities in accordance with the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, settlements, cities of etraps, and etrap centers for the period up to 2028, which are planned for commissioning this year.

Among the priority tasks, the President of the country identified the harvest of cotton without losses and as quickly as possible, instructing the hakim to keep the work in this direction under constant control.
It was also noted that the quality of construction of various facilities within the framework of the President of Turkmenistan's Program for the socio-economic development of the country for 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program, which are planned for opening this year, should be in the spotlight.
Then, the hakim of the Mary velayat, B. Orazov, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work.
It was reported that steps are being taken in the region to harvest cotton without losses, to activate the cotton harvesting campaign, to effectively use agricultural machinery, and to ensure the uninterrupted transportation of the harvested crop to reception points and processing enterprises.
In addition, necessary measures are being taken in the velayat to conduct wheat sowing qualitatively and within the established deadlines, and irrigation is being carried out to obtain uniform seedlings.
Fieldwork continues for the care of winter potatoes, vegetables, and other agricultural crops, and the harvested crops are being collected. Inter-row processing, fertilization with mineral fertilizers, and vegetative irrigation are being carried out on the areas sown with sugar beets.
The hakim also reported on the ongoing preparation for the heating season of social and cultural buildings, as well as on the state of affairs at the construction sites of facilities planned for commissioning this year in accordance with the National Rural Program.
Summarizing the report, the head of state emphasized the importance of organizing the current seasonal agricultural work in accordance with agrotechnical requirements, giving specific instructions to the head of the velayat administration.

According to the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan to further strengthen food abundance in the regions, work is being carried out in the velayats to care for winter food crops and to harvest the grown crops. Preparatory activities for rice harvesting are being carried out in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and care for sugar beets is being carried out in the Mary velayat.
