President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to the participants of the II Theater Festival of the member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), reports TDH. In his welcoming address, Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of this event for strengthening cultural ties between Turkic-speaking peoples and noted that the festival would become a true celebration of theatrical art.

The active participation of Turkmen poets and prose writers, bakhshi, musicians, and artists in competitions, festivals, exhibitions, and concerts organized under the auspices of TURKSOY further enhances Turkmenistan's prestige in the world. Events held in our country and abroad on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and classical poet of the East, Magtymguly Pyragy, and the declaration of 2024 as the year of 'The Treasury of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy play a significant role in popularizing the rich literary heritage of the great master of words worldwide. The declaration at the 2022 regular session of the TURKSOY Permanent Council of 2024 as 'The Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World – Magtymguly Pyragy,' and the city of Anew as the cultural capital of the Turkic world, gave new impetus to the further development of cooperation between creative workers of Turkmen and Turkic-speaking peoples. The brilliant poems of Magtymguly, calling for patriotism, unity, humanism, friendship, and brotherhood, have become a source of inspiration for cultural and artistic workers, prose writers, poets, artists, sculptors, bakhshi, musicians, composers, and performers.

At the final meeting of the members of the TURKSOY Union of Museums, at the festival of artists, and at the meeting of writers from TURKSOY member countries, which will be held as part of the theater festival, issues of developing and improving the culture, art, and literature of Turkic peoples will be discussed. This will allow creative representatives of friendly countries to understand the subtleties of art and exchange experiences. I am confident that this festival, bringing together creative figures from Turkic states in white-marble Ashgabat, will become a true celebration of theatrical art, revealing its magical power, and the stage performances will leave an unforgettable impression on the audience.
