Turkmenistan Reaffirms Commitment to Expanding Dialogue with the European Union

Turkmenistan has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding dialogue with the European Union. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, during which he emphasized the country's interest in developing multilateral cooperation with the EU, TDH reports.

The meeting took place within the framework of the 20th Ministerial Meeting "EU – Central Asia," attended by representatives from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The main topic of discussion was the preparation for the first "EU – Central Asia" summit, scheduled for April 3-4 in Samarkand.

President Berdimuhamedov highlighted the prospects for the development of the North-South and East-West transport corridors, which could serve as a reliable bridge for expanding trade and economic cooperation across the Eurasian continent.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues, including socio-economic development, transport, digital communication, energy, trade, and humanitarian cooperation.
