National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the construction site of a new two-lane automobile bridge on the Turkmenbashy-Garabogaz-Kazakhstan border highway in a sports car during a working visit to the Balkan velayat. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamammedov reported on the progress of construction work and presented projects for the bridge, which will significantly increase the volume of trade, transport and passenger traffic between the western and northern regions of the country, as well as with neighboring states.

“This facility is of international importance. This will provide favorable conditions for the active integration of the country into the global economic space and create more favorable conditions for strengthening cooperation with foreign countries,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted.

The facility Is of great importance for the development of Garabogazgol’s natural resources and the development of the country’s transport and logistics sector, the agency added.
