Turkmenistan and Georgia Strengthen Media Cooperation

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovlet Seyitmammedov held a meeting with the head of the information service of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) Eka Shonia, during which the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the media of the two countries. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission.

The dynamic nature of Turkmen-Georgian relations was noted at the meeting. The participants emphasized the special significance of the recent official visit of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to Turkmenistan for the further development of bilateral cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to the cultural and humanitarian sphere of cooperation. Ambassador Seyitmammedov informed the Georgian side about the upcoming festive events in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust".

In connection with the upcoming events, the diplomat emphasized the importance of the active participation of media representatives of both countries in international events held both in Turkmenistan and Georgia. The parties agreed to expand information exchange, including coverage of significant events and the screening of documentaries and videos.

Following the meeting, the representatives expressed confidence that deepening cooperation between the media of the two countries will contribute to strengthening mutual understanding, promoting cultural exchange and expanding bilateral relations.
