The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has paid a working visit to the city of Arkadag, where he inspected the progress of the second phase of construction and held a working meeting with the heads of relevant government agencies. The news was reported by TDH.
During the visit, Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City, Deryageldi Orazov, presented updates on upcoming development projects, including the design of the "Ahalteke Atdary" avenue. It is planned to feature sculptural representations of legendary Akhal-Teke horses along the avenue, each mounted on pedestals with information about their origin and history.
Particular attention was paid to the pace of construction work in the second phase, which involves over 50 local companies and private enterprises. Both Turkmen and leading foreign firms are engaged in building the medical cluster facilities.
Orazov also reported growing interest from international financial institutions in cooperating on projects. Efforts are currently underway to secure grants for the implementation of new technologies, renewable energy use, as well as for the construction of a modern bus terminal and a high-tech industrial complex.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of adhering to national architectural traditions in the construction process and highlighted the need for high-quality materials. He also issued instructions to accelerate the construction of industrial facilities and organize the export of planned products made from local raw materials.
During the meeting, the Hyakim (Mayor) of Arkadag, Gulsat Mammedova, reported on preparations for the upcoming National Day of the Turkmen Horse. As part of the celebration, keys to new homes will be presented to local horse breeders. The National Leader noted the special symbolism of hosting this holiday in the newly built city located in the historical homeland of the Akhal-Teke breed.
