The President of Turkmenistan awarded four citizens the title of “Honored Horse Breeder”

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on awarding the honorary title of "Türkmenistanyň at gazanan atşynasy" ("Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan") to four citizens of the country. This was reported by TDH.

The high title was awarded to Rejepdurdy Garagulov, a coach of the equestrian sports and marathon department of the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, Tachmyrat Tekayev, a private horse breeder from the Balkan velayat, Techdurdy Khalbayev, a groom of the Dashoguz state stable of the State Association "Türkmen atlary", and Gaigysyz Handurdyev, a jockey of the Mary state stable of the State Association "Türkmen atlary".

As noted in the document, the award was made "for great achievements in glorifying the "paradise" racehorses in the world, which are the heritage and pride of the Turkmen people, in the development of the horse breeding industry, breeding and increasing the number of horses, preserving and improving the breeding and productive qualities of Akhal-Teke racehorses." The conscientious and exemplary work over many years and the professionalism of the awardees were also taken into account.

The awarding of the titles is timed to coincide with the National Day of the Turkmen Racehorse, which is celebrated annually on the last Sunday of April.
