Turkmenistan approves procedure for developing industrial safety standards

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree approving the procedure for the development and adoption of standards and regulations in the field of industrial safety. The document was adopted during a meeting of the country’s Cabinet of Ministers, TDH reports.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Khojamyrat Geldimyradov presented a report on the preparation of the draft document. According to him, the document was developed by the Main State Service "Türkmenstandartlary" in cooperation with relevant ministries, industry agencies, and regional administrations in accordance with Article 4 of the Law of Turkmenistan "On Industrial Safety of Hazardous Production Facilities."

The head of state emphasized the importance of complying with industrial safety regulations for the development and modernization of the country’s economy. He noted that the approved document is aimed at ensuring the safe operation of hazardous production facilities, fulfilling industrial safety requirements, and organizing industrial control.
